The estate
Three generations, eighteen hectares, one plain.
1962
Giorgis Lygeris came back from Germany with a little money and an idea: to plant Agiorgitiko on his grandfather's slope, where everyone said it was too high. His first vines, at 600 metres, still give us the Reserve.

The vineyard
Eighteen hectares in three places: the old vines on the slope, the plain next to the winery, and the Moschofilero of Mantinia.
Organic since 2009. Dry-farmed, with cover crops between the rows and a hand harvest into 15-kilo crates.

The cellar
The winery was built in 1998 into the hillside, so the grapes travel by gravity and the cellar stays at 14 degrees all year.
Small stainless-steel tanks, 120 French oak barrels, and the old stone press, still working every September.
The people

Maria Lygeri
Winemaker. Studied in Montpellier, came back in 2011, turned the estate organic.

Dimitris Lygeris
Vine grower. Knows every vine by name, or so he says.

The estate team
Nine people all year, thirty in September.
